When we first moved to this area, I thought it would be nice to shop local. After just a few trips to Rex's, I realized they weren't a safe place to get anything fresh, like meats or vegetables. I had to take chicken back twice (and I was treated poorly when I did) and their produce looks as if it's been in the case too long. If I have to get a canned or packaged item, I might stop there, but I've learned that nothing perishable is safe.
I love the selection, quality and friendliness of the employees. We shop there often. I love being called honey! Good southern hospitality.
Employees are very friendly and are willing to find anything for you. I come here pretty often as it is the only grocery store near home. They don't have a wide variety of things but they have the essentials
We visit family in Chapel Hill several times a year, and always make it a point to stop here and stock up our country ham and various other Southern staples that we are unable to find where we live in Arizona. Nice, helpful employees that treat us like they know us personally! Clean, wide ailes. Their produce section needs improvement, but is getting better with fresher produce and a larger selection.
I find that I get more for less when I shop at Rex's..the cashier's and customer service staff are always friendly and the meat department always has the best meat. The produce is always fresh also..all in all I love this store...
